Fish Island success for L&Q
Quod are delighted to announce that in February 2016 the London Legacy Development Corporation’s Planning Decisions Committee resolved to grant planning permission for L&Q’s Bream Street development on Fish Island. The proposals (designed by Stirling Prize winners Allford Hall Monaghan Morris and East) include the comprehensive redevelopment of a largely vacant site, adjacent to the River Lee Navigation and opposite the Olympic Stadium. The scheme will provide over 200 new homes, a dedicated employment building as well as opportunities for retail, café and cultural space. Significant new public spaces will be provided through the site and adjacent to the canal to create a fantastic new ‘place’ in this part of Fish Island.
